I always hate phone calls on Sunday mornings. They only mean one thing... something is wrong. And sure enough... St. Benedicts (aka Benny) had put his hind leg through a gate. The best way to describe his leg was mangled. He had a huge chunk of skin taken off of his ankle, multiple lacerations around the leg, and a flap of skin dangling from his cannon bone. Since he did it during the night, we past the ability to stitch it up.
I had the vet come out to take a look at it and bandage it up so I would know the protocol for future wrappings.
Here are the steps we took to get the leg to where it is today!
